Met with our driver and picked up us on time from the hotel. Very good and comfortable journey. Very nice driver who made a stop for photo shot with camels and nice scenary of the hills. En route stopped at a women's argan oil association and learned how the famous oil is made with mint tea served for free! On arrival at Ourika valley we did not want to go walking on the trails as it was too steep for wife so settled down and enjoyed our lunch on riverside restaurant near the Ourika River with nice views of the mountains in the scenic settlement of Setti Fatma. Return to Marrakech with a short visit to a Berber family to learn more about everyday life in the area, very enjoyable and relaxing day out.

It was the cheapest tour we booked but yet the best on of all in Marrakech. Hassam is a great person. Highly recommended. Great views, great experiences around the villages and the berber people are really humble and warm and very different to city people.

We were picked up near our riad by our driver for the day. We were emailed the pick up location and time the day before. Our guide, was nice & could speak multiple languages. We stopped off at an argan oil cooperative, where one of the staff there gave us a quick tour of the small herb garden, explained how argan oil is made with a demo done by two old ladies & went through all the products they sold. There is no obligation to buy anything but I bought some tea & some cream anyway. Next it was to the falls. The hike is manageable but was steep at certain points. We were not taken down to the waterfall but it viewed it from above. We were then led back down for lunch & you were made to eat at the tour’s chosen restaurant next to the water with a set menu only for 120dh. What annoyed me were the people coming up to you trying to sell things while you eat. Then it was the drive home.
